"Homespun" literally means hand made which perfectly describes this colonial farmhouse listed on the "National Register of Historic Places". The home has been tenderly transformed into a warm, romantic, relaxing, bed and breakfast near Mystic, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos, New London Submarine Base, Mystic Seaport, beaches, hiking, historic home tours, U-Conn., and many other Connecticut attractions.
The Inn Keeper's Place Bed and Breakfast is a historical home built in the early 1700's. It was built in the Saltbox style, then a Colonial style brick home was added to the side. The bricks came from England, and the hand carved wood molding was made from the butternut trees that used to be on the property. Most of the rooms have the original large plank floors.
Peace and tranquility surround this contemporary Cape-style home sitting on three glorious acres. A clean, modern decor is accented by a few well-placed antiques and cherry furnishings.
