Your Web Guide to Outstanding Maine Fall Foliage Attractions![]() Great Maine Fall Attractions
There are also a good many festivals here that have been annual events in some cases for decades. There's also whale watching, trips we highly recommend. There's nothing quite like seeing a whale in its natural environment as it swims close to the boat, then sounds with its great fluke rising, then gliding back out of sight. There are also a great many state and national parks that stay open well into the season, none quite like Acadia followed by a spin through Bar Harbor. We've been selective in the attractions listed here. Many of the Maine fall foliage attractions come highly recommended, and there is something for all to enjoy. We don't rate or endorse any one business over another. That's something best left up to you. We find that ratings are too subjective and what we might think isn't of great interest to us, may very well be to you. That's why we never listen to movie critics. The subjective opinion of one source can be devastating to a very legitimate and well made film. It's the same way with the many businesses up here that offer you a great time. If you live in Maine, you may find activities on these pages with which you weren't familiar before. If you live in another state or outside the region, the attractions listed will make your trip all the more enjoyable. If you know of a great place we missed, or if you have an attraction-based business that's not on the list, please send an email to: jim.hyde@newenglandtimes.com. I'll look into any we recieve and add them to the list. We're planning our new Thanksgiving section, which will be much like this section, so if you have products or services that relate to Thanksgiving, please let us know. We hope that you will fully enjoy this fall. Come on up and have some fun. Maine Fall Foliage Attractions

As with all other New England states, Maine is a busy place in the fall. Much of the activity is centered on agriculture, and agritourism is growing rapidly here in Maine and throughout New England. Everything from corn mazes to hayrides to picking your own apples or pumpkins is available.
